Fiscal Responsibility

*The county has the same tax rate as when Dorothy took office 8 years ago.  When elected to the Board in 2008, the General Fund spending per county resident was $2,498.  Adjusted for inflation it is $2,109 in 2015.

*The average 1-family real estate bill has declined from $2,373 to $1,986 (adjusted for inflation) during her tenure on the Board.

*In August 2015, Chesterfield County received the highest credit rating possible from Moody’s due to carefully managed financial operations with sound reserves and conservative budget management.
